I just told my brother my wild ambition of travelling to somewhere in Europe before I turn 21. Albeit his blunt reply, it is very true.
Brother: You seems to enjoy travelling a lot, always planning to go somewhere.
Me: Erhmm, yah!
It has been something that I refuse to admit but subconsciously, that bud is starting to sprout, and with every intention to bloom...
It's not something that is bad but its appears to be that case for my folks. The idea of a holiday for my traditional folks is a break only after you have worked long and hard. Then you go travelling with any excess allowance you have. They do not approve of me working long and hard just to go travelling, exhausting every last penny in my pocket.
But I'm still young and not tied down by any responsibilities so I have the rights to enjoy every last penny of my hard-earned money, right?!
There are too many a times when their conventional thinking had me tied down. I want so much to rebutt but they're my folks afterall. How far can I push my thoughts across without them getting mad at me and me getting exasperated!
How I wish I can make they comprehend the thrill of stepping foot in an entirely new place with so much to explore. The diverse people, the marvellous food, the rich history, the culture, the language, the architecture, the nature and what else have I missed out?!?
The world is so big that even if I start now, I won't be able to mark my footprint across. Whatmore if I were to wait till I am older, with more responsibilities to tie me down. It will be even harder to get me moving..
