Hello folks!!!!!!!!!!

Time really flies and its hard to believe that the first 2 months has past and I'm already entering the 3rd month here in Orlando. I still feel like it was just yesterday when I first lugged the luggage into the apartment and then reporting for orientation at work. But well well, apparently I would be home faster than I realised.

This blog is so dead and I've finally decided to post some pictures. Met up with renee, huiying together with Sarah last weekend. Wooo hoooo.. We're the bomb!!! Covered all three parks and their major attraction within a day. First Stop Animal Kingdom followed by Epcot and lastly Hollywood Studios.

On a sat afternoon around 430pm....

So I was at the Unload position walking my ass off on the travellator making sure all guests get off the ride and leave the travellator safely. Then this kid decided that the yellow&black safety belt under those clam was interesting so he stretched his leg out and stepped on it.

beeeppppp.....
The emergency stop was triggered, alarm went off and the entire ride stopped.
Instinctively, when he stretched his leg, I knew what he was about to do (because I have seen it far too many times) and usually its too late to stop them, and ride went on E-stop. Today was just not the boy's lucky day, he had his foot stuck under the clam.
So he was crying and screaming, his mom was in shock, the alarm was going on! Everything was happening at the same time. I had to silenced that fuck alarm, call the coordinator and dial NINE ONE ONE(that's the last number you want to dial when you're working at an attraction front line)!!!! My heart was palpitating and I almost went into a nervous breakdown right there but I had no idea where I got that courage to walk up to coo and calm that kid. The mother was fidgeting with the kid leg trying to get it out and when I told her not to do that because we don't know which part is stuck. Guess what? She yelled at me and said "I'M TRYING TO TALK TO MY SON".
fuck that, bitch!

The coordinator came, then the park managers, maintenance, paramedics, it felt like the whole world was there. They did a 101 evacuation and I just stood at a corner till the manager told me to go to the break room for a breather. I was too stressed up and scared that I broke into tears the moment I went offstage. Then I had to go to the managers office to write a witness statement which is part of the procedure. Thank god, nth happened to that kid's foot!
I may be slapped with a safety reprimand if anything serious did happened!

And I still have one report and one assignment due!!!

bye world, i want to curl up in bed and sleeppp

lazy morning

As I munch my toast with a glass of milk, I sit cross-legged on the couch typing out a new post because it been wayyyyyy too long since I last did so.

It's gonna be a really lazy afternoon since I'm scheduled for work in the evening beacuse of the extra magic hours. I'm just waiting for the right time to call yenru and ask her what's plan for lunch because she has got crappy shift too

I feel like I'm losing touch with the outside world because news get to me wayyy too slow and I'm just lazy to turn to the news channel and only occasinally will I type "channel news asia" on the search engine. I have no idea what's major out there except of the Swine Flu which is geting everyone beside the Americans nervous. What an irony! I'm not seeing any precaution which is being taken and all my housemates are totally cool about this virus. Wherelse Singapore is like prepared to fight it like someone has already gotten the virus. I'm so missing the kiasu-ness.... I meant it.

I'm more or less settled down and I don't miss home as much as I did when I first arrived and I try not to think too much about not seeing my family for 6mths. Concentrating on the fact of having as much fun as I can certainly helps cure homesick. This couple of weeks has been really awesome and I love my off-days because I get to go out and play which really helps rejuvenate me.
I have tons of picture which I have put on facebook so check it out but I'll post a couple of my favourites here.

YES!! I'm back from an early shift and its so rare to be sitting here in my living roon at 4pm in the afternoon instead of being at work. Certainly have got no idea why they decided to put me in the morning shift today because new-comers usually do closing of the attraction.

So I'm waiting for my beef to defrost so I can make my meatball spaghetti for lunch at work tomorrow. Its such a pain in the ass having to think of what to prepare for your next meal everyday, its not like Im Nigella Lawson who can whip up anything and everything with whatever I've got!
I'm fast running out of ideas already. I made egg and ham mayo sandwich for lunch today and now I thinking of what I should have for dinner later. Irritating, I wished mom was here to cook :(

Back at home, I would only cook whenever I feel like it and it always seems like a breeze but NOW I totally understand how my mom felt when she have to plan for the family dinner!
I'M NOT GOING TO COMPLAIN ANYMORE WHEN I GET BACK HOME HOme home...

My mom would be so glad she sent me here :(((

Life is as mundane as it can get. I went out (and I meant out of Disney to the city) during my break last week and that's the biggest adventure I've had so far. Yeah, this place is pathetic, or should I say my events calendar is pathetic and the states isn't as awesome as everyone presume. It's only awesome when you don't have to work to earn your keep, don't have to deal with roommates, don't have to cook, have awesome place to go with an awesome bootilicious date!!

So I guess I just have to deal with it for the time being and I haven't met up with the rest for so so long due to work as well. I should see them during the Asian Market Trip on Wed so till then !!

HELLO HA!!!!!

oh god!! I finally have the time AND the mood to do some posting here. I've got to tell you I had a really full week working. Just ended my training and I had my assessment today and I've passed so I'm an official member there.
SO YAY!!! WELL DONE, PEIRONG!!!!!
Let me just summarise what I'm exactly doing before I go into details.

I'm with EPCOT: The Seas with Nemo and Friends
I dont have any exact position because everyone at this attraction basically rotates around the various position throughout the day. There are so many roles like loading and unloading at ride area, Pavilion Greeter/Exiter, Kids Activity Booth Tender , Hosting a Turtle Talk Show and a couple more.
I think its great that I'm not stuck to one particular position only because that would surely be a bore and I get to learn more things and interact with more guests rotating around the roles. But training for all these were so brain-consumming with all the safety and operating procedure.
I think the part that was most nerve-wrecking was when i had to host my very first Turtle Talk in front of 210 pairs of eyes. That freaks me out at first! But well, it wasnt so bad, I think I did fine.

Its Easter today so HAPPY EASTER DAY!!!!
I wished we have some eggs hunt or bunny basket kind of things. My housemates were real sweet because they invited me out to Easter Dinner with them at Hooters and the food is really awesome!!!! It's so sad that I'm not legal so I dont dare to drink and I'm glad they didnt order drinks and it was just a nice dinner out and we all came back to hang out. AND the girls there are smookinn HOT!

Alright! I'm gonna catch my sleep now and do check out facebook because I have photos taken when I was at Epcot!!!

LOVES AND NIGHT
PEI
